White Button Down

White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl White Button Down - A Pearl Kind of Girl

Top: Anthropologie // Jeans: Paige // Shoes: Marc Fisher // Bag: Cult Gaia // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Apparently when you get engaged, people expect you to wear white everywhere you go ha. Since my bachelorette party is this weekend, I decided to swap some of the black staples in my closet for white versions. My bachelorette will be pretty casual in Austin, so I will be living in this white button down and jeans.

I saw this white button down in Anthropologie, and I immediately picked it up because I love the Cloth & Stone brand. The material they use is so soft and is easy to style. I am also a huge sucker for a classic white button down. The subtle embroidery on the sleeves, pocket, and across the back really sold me on this top. I paired it with my favorite cropped jeans and simple white pumps, but it also looks great layered under a blazer or tucked into a skirt for a less casual look. I rolled the sleeves because that was most comfortable to me, but they fit right at the wrist and do not run long or short (wearing a small). I added my new favorite bamboo bag to the casual look. If you have not checked out the Shopbop sale, this Cult Gaia bag is included for up to 25% off! Shop this entire look below! xoxo

Wedding

White Outfits

Our wedding is less than 100 days away, so naturally I am freaking out over here! We have made major progress on planning the past few weeks, and we just have smaller things to cross off our list now (like buying a house ha). The wedding shoes I designed with Shoes of Prey came in yesterday, and they are perfect (check out my “Wedding” highlight on Instagram stories to see the final product)! We have selected all of the music with our DJ, passed off the envelopes to the calligrapher, booked my bridal luncheon, and will have my first bridal shower this weekend! With so many things going on, I have hardly thought about what I am going to wear to all the upcoming events. Bridal showers, bachelorette party (less than a month away!), bridal luncheon and rehearsal dinner will all need white outfits. Since the vast majority of my closet is black, finding white outfits has been a little difficult for me. Most white dresses, tops, and skirts are a little see through, and most white accessories are slightly off white. A few white pieces I have found and love include this adorable white lace dress from Anthropologie. It fits perfectly, and the tea length is great for luncheons and showers (full post coming soon). I also found this fun Rag and Bone dress at Neiman Marcus Last Call and love the small cutout in the back. I will have it slightly altered to fit just right through the waist  though. Of course I had to order my favorite Marc Fisher pumps in white, but I am also majorly crushing on these white Marc Fisher wedges for a more casual look. I have linked all of my favorite white pieces for future brides or to add to your spring wardrobe below! xoxo

Black Lace Top

The weather is finally warming up here in Dallas! I am starting to put away those wool sweaters and transition pieces of my closet from winter to spring. I found this black lace top at Anthropolgie a few months ago, and had tucked it away for warmer weather. It was perfect recently for lunch on the patio and a day of running errands around town. This black lace top is currently on sale at Anthropologie for less than $70 (selling out fast). It comes in both black and white (tempted to order it in white too) and fits true to size (wearing a small). I love the detail along the neckline and the structure of the lace sleeves. The fit is great for layering under a jacket or tucking into high waisted jeans or skirt. I chose to tuck the black lace top into my favorite high wasted jeans from J.Crew and completed the look with the best Marc Fisher heels. I added a pair of gold hoops (similar) and this black and gold bangle that Alex gave me for Valentine’s Day (the sweetest). Shop this look and similar lace tops for spring below! xoxo

White Cropped Tee

Tee: Anthropologie // Jeans: J.Crew (white version) // Shoes: Dolce Vita // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelete: Gorjana

Black and white have taken over my closet again. Usually by the summer I own more navy than black, but I have been buying more white and loving minimal pieces. My go to outfit the past few weeks has been this white cropped tee, comfortable pants, and a pair of Dolce Vita shoes. I shared this white cropped tee last week when I paired it with my olive pants. It is still on sale at Anthropologie for less than $40 and fits true to size (wearing a small). It is so perfect for summer, and I wish it came in more colors, especially black.

I also shared these black distressed jeans a few weeks ago, but they are seriously my favorite pair of jeans right now (I know I say that a lot). I love the high waisted fit, distressed cropped hem, and the perfect amount of stretch to these jeans. I am wearing a size 26 regular, but they come in petite, tall, and there is also a white version. Along with my white cropped tee and super comfortable black jeans, I completed the black and white look with a pair of Dolce Vita sneakers. In case you haven’t picked up on it by now, Dolce Vita shoes have been taking over my closet. With that being said, I have ended up loving and wearing these white sneakers more than I thought I would. They fit true to size (wearing a size 8), come in three colors and I love the detail on the back of these sneakers. Olive Pants

The only thing I hate about a Texas summer is having to go from 90+ degree temperatures outside, to 60-70 degree temperatures inside. If it was up to me I would sit outside and sunbath all day, but instead I carry a jacket just about everywhere. These olive pants are a great solution to this temperature problem, especially for the office. They can easily be dressed up with heels, or dressed down with sandals and are light weight enough for 90+ degree weather. They fit true to size (wearing a 0) and come in four different colors. I have not tried on the white version, but I do not have an issue with the olive version being too thin. I gave these olive pants a more casual look by pairing them with a simple white crop top from Anthropologie. This top is currently on sale for less than $40, fits true to size (wearing a small), and is a great layering piece. Since I have a relatively short torso, I am still able to wear this cropped top without showing any midriff. This top is also 100% cotton jersey, so it is great for the heat, and there is no issue with it being see through.

About a week ago I shared these Dolce Vita mules, then last week I shared these Dolce Vita sneakers… well I am on a roll with the Dolce Vita shoes. These mules are just as comfortable as the other two shoes I shared earlier, and they fit true to size (wearing size 8). I love the laser cut leather and the distressed heel. You will never know if I scuff these heels (insert smirking emoji). I found these Dolce Vita mules at Nordstrom Rack for less than $90, total steal. I also seem to be on a roll with Rebecca Minkoff bags (whoops). I really bought this saddle bag for Austin City Limits in October, but couldn’t wait to carry it (another whoops). I love the braid and fringe detail on the front and the adjustable shoulder strap. Shop this look below! xoxo

White Bomber

Jacket: Anthropologie // Tee: Urban Outfitters // Jeans: J.Crew (white version) // Sneakers: Dolce Vita // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelet: Gorjana

Even though it has been 90 degrees everyday this week in Dallas, my mind is someplace cooler. I am planning a trip someplace far north of Dallas for the middle of July, and I have started stocking up on casual layers. I found some great pieces on sale, but my favorite is this white bomber jacket from Anthropologie. It is currently on sale for less than $50 (total steal!) and comes in four bright colors. Of course I went for the white bomber, but I love the navy color as well. It fits true to size (I am wearing a small), and it is lightweight enough for spring and summer (well probably not in Texas). I paired the bomber with my favorite tee from Urban Outfitters (wearing a small, it fits loose) and distressed black jeans from J.Crew. These jeans are so comfortable to wear because they stretch well. I also love the cropped and high-waisted fit (wearing size 26 regular). My only complaint about the black jeans is they will pick up lint easily, and I have to ask for a black napkin in restaurants. These jeans also come in white (perfect for summer), and lint does not seem to be as big of an issue on them. My upcoming trip will probably involve quite a bit of walking, so I have been on the hunt for some fun but comfortable shoes. I love the look of platform sneakers, but found that most caused blisters or are just not comfortable. These Dolce Vita sneakers were by far the most comfortable pair I tried on, and they are on sale for less than $100! They come in three colors, but if you have seen any of my athletic shoes, you know I only own white sneakers. These sneakers fit true to size (wearing an 8), and the canvas material is easy to keep clean with a Tide To Go stick which I always carry with me. Shop the entire look below! xoxo
