We have been so busy working on our new house, that summer has flown by. I finally took a break from decorating to make time for a date night and enjoy the last few weeks of Dallas heat. I bought this black ruffle set around my birthday for an outdoor concert and it was perfect for our dinner on the patio at Dolce Riviera.

 This black ruffle set from Free People is perfect for the 100+ degree weather we have all summer. I wear the skirt high on my waist, so that it looks more like a dress, but it can be worn lower to show a bit of midriff. The material breathes really well and doesn’t show sweat, which makes it perfect for any outdoor event. I paired it with some classic black strappy heels and my favorite Rebecca Minkoff clutch.
