Longline Coat

edit-1397edit-1401edit-1416edit-1423edit-1445edit-1431edit-1439

Coat: Forever 21 // Shirt: Banana Republic // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Neiman Marcus

Hard to believe that Dallas had 80 degree temperatures just two weeks ago. When the freezing temperatures finally hit Dallas, I realized I needed a new coat. This longline coat from Forever 21 immediately stuck out to me because of the deep crimson color. This coat has a wide hood that blends into the wide lapels and a front tie that is flattering for the waistline. I also love this silk blouse from Banana Republic with tie on the neckline, it also comes in grey, red and chartreuse. The overall length (including arm length) on both the coat and blouse are perfect for me. I ordered a small in the coat and a zero in the blouse. Shop more of my favorite longline coats below! xoxo

Plaid on Black

Poncho: Nordstrom // Sweater: Vince // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Neiman Marcus // Bag: Neiman Marcus // Hat: Urban Outfitters // Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

I swear it was summer just yesterday, but it looks like October has come and gone, and fall weather has finally arrived in Dallas! I posted this plaid poncho last year styled with riding boots and love the poncho so much, that I decided to dress it up a little this year. Since the poncho has black trim and accents, but is primarily camel, I decided wear it with an all black look. Check out some of my other favorite plaid ponchos and blanket scarves below! xoxo

Dress: Neiman Marcus // Shoes: Prada // Purse: Kate Spade // Bracelet: J.Crew // Earrings: BaubleBar

Last night Mel (My Everyday Lifestyle) and I had the best time at the annual Toni & Guy creative release and photographic awards. Every year Toni & Guy host their awards here in Dallas, where they honor the incredable work of their students and stylists. We enjoyed meeting stylists from all over the country and were in awe of the amazing photography they submitted for the awards. I still can’t get over the production of the show and the inspiring hair and makeup using Toni & Guy and TIGI products!

Thank you to the Toni & Guy marketing team for including us in such a special night. xoxo

Little White Dress

edited-5edited-4edited-6edited-8edited-2

Dress: L’Agence Sleeveless Sheath // Shoes: Zara (similar) // Necklace: Tiffany and Co. // Earrings: Tory Burch

Yesterday I took the last test of my 16 years of education, which means graduation must be close! Graduation brings a new and exciting chapter to my life, but it also comes with a scary amount of responsibility. My mom has probably asked me a million times what I plan to wear on this big day, trying to sway me away from yet another black dress. Anyone can tell you that the large majority of my closet is my black dress collection, followed by skirts and tops that can only be described as 50 shades of grey. I finally decided that I should branch out of my black dress and black heel rut to start this new chapter of my life.

Since color is not really my thing, I switched gears from black to white (mainly because my school colors are crimson and cream). I always start my dress hunt at Neiman Marcus and almost always find just what I need right away. I went directly to the Cusp section at Northpark (it is enormous) and tried on every single white dress I could find in my size. Once again the Cusp section of Neiman Marcus pulled through for me. I fell in love with this L’Agance sleeveless sheath the moment I realized it had pockets and knew it would be easy to pair with my favorite Zara heels and of course, my pearls. Not only will this dress be perfect for graduation, but it will also be great for my transition to the working world. xoxo

Ways to Wear Wednesday- Basic White Tee

edited-8edited-10edited14edited-15Shirt: J.Crew Vintage Cotton // Pants: Nordstrom, similar // Jacket: Love Token Leather Jacket // Shoes: J.Crew, similar, similar // Necklace: Kendra Scott // Earrings: Anthropologie

Monica of 45Farimount and I have teamed up in a new series called “Ways to Wear Wednesday”. Our purpose is to share different ways to reinvent the basic pieces already in your closet. This week we have taken the basic white tee and styled it two ways that dress up your most comfortable tee. I styled my J.Crew v-neck with leather leggings and leopard pumps for look that is perfect for dinner or an evening out. Check out how Monica styled her white v-neck at 45fairmount.com! xoxo
