In February I shared this flounce midi dress in pink for Valentine’s Day, and now the same flounce midi dress is back in stock and is also available in black and white. I normally do not buy much pink, but I loved the cut and fit of this dress. Naturally when I saw it was available in black and white, I could not get my hands on the black version fast enough! This dress fits loose, so I recommend going a size down (wearing an extra small) to make sure the dress fits in the neck and arms. I love the loose fit for the 80 degree days that are becoming more frequent again here in Dallas. This dress is easy to dress up with wedges or chunky heels, or dress down with a pair of flats. I went with a more casual look by pairing this dress with a pair of pearl studded black slides. These slides are under $70 and come in both black and tan. Of course I picked them because I cannot turn down pearls, but they are so easy to throw on, and pair well with so many outfits. They fit true to size (wearing a size 8) and come in half sizes too. I’ve linked everything you need to get this look below! xoxo
Easter is just around the corner, April 16th to be exact! Last year I totally forgot about an Easter dress and ended up wearing a dress from the very back of my closet (I’m talking freshman year of college back of closet ha). I was thrilled to find this adorable tweed dress on the sale rack of J.Crew and promised myself that I had to save it for Easter! This dress fits true to size (wearing a size 0) and comes in navy, white, and red (the red has an orange tint). Dallas weather is very unpredictable so it is risky to buy a sleeveless dress for a specific spring day. Luckily this dress is fitted at the waist, so it pairs nicely with a cropped jacket, and looks great with open or closed toe shoes. I have linked my favorite tweed dresses for Easter below, and they are all on SALE! xoxo
This weekend it was a balmy 80 degrees in Dallas, so naturally I pulled thisfloral wrap dressout from my spring stash for a patio brunch. I was more than ready to give my sweaters a break and feel the sunshine on my skin. Nordstrom has a ton of gorgeous floral dresses in stock, but of course I went for the black option. This dress fits true to size (wearing a small) fitting tighter through the chest and ribs, and lose through the waist, hips, and sleeves. I would caution against wearing this dress on a windy day as it blows up very easily and no one wants that! I paired the floral wrap dress with these adorableDolce Vita laser cut mules, andblack BaubleBar tassel earrings. I was nervous that these mules would give me blisters, but they are way more comfortable than I expected. The leather is soft, so it does not rub against my toes when I walk. They also have extra padding on the heel and ball of the foot. TheseBaubleBar tassel earringscome in 13 different colors and are only $36. They do pull on my ears a little, but I am still able to wear them all day without noticing the weight too much. If your ears are more sensitive to weight, there is a smaller version of these tassel earrings that is much lighter but still just as fun. To match the pink floral pattern in the dress, I am wearing my favoriteAnastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Dolce, andChanel nail polish in Ballerina. I have linked everything you need to get this spring look below, and hopefully we continue having more 80 degree weekends! xoxo
Valentine’s Day is only a week away! While my date night with Alex will consist of cooking and watching movies in leggings and a sweatshirt (a much needed night in), I am sharing my two favorite Valentine’s outfits for any date. My first Valentine’s outfit is more casual and is perfect for dinner, a movie or to wear to the office. I found this knit sweater last year at H&M, and it is back in stock for under $20. It goes perfectly with dark denim for winter and white/light denim for chilly spring days. I added my favorite red heels (similar) and a classic red lip to make this light pink sweater a little more festive. After years of struggling with red lipstick (especially in dance competitions) I have finally mastered a non-messy red lip that will last all day. I start by lining my lips with Chanel Lip Definer #57, the color is very versatile and I love the thin brush at the end of the pencil. After lining my lips I fill in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Sarafine and use the brush on the end of the Chanel lip pencil to evenly spread the color, I like this color because it has blue undertones and will make your teeth look whiter. This liquid lipstick is great because it dries matte and will last for hours, even through meals. However, I recommend removing and reapplying the lipstick (with chapstick) after about 4-5 hours, because it will start to dry out your lips.
My second Valentine’s outfit is little dressier, for a nice dinner or night out. This light pink flounce dress is only $60 and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your accessories. This fabric of the dress has a great weight and it has pockets (major win), I only wish it came in more colors, specifically black. The dress fits very loose, so I am wearing an XS because it fit best in the arms. I kept this look simple by just adding red heels and a stack of gold bracelets, but it can also be dressed up with a statement necklace, structured jacket, or strappy heels. If you have a more casual evening planned, but still want to wear a dress, you can dress this look down with a denim jacket, wedges or mules, and minimal jewelry. Both of these looks are also great for a Galentine’s party or a festive Valentines look for the office. I have linked everything you need to recreate these Valentine’s outfits below! xoxo
There are just those days when you need to get things accomplished, and about half my days are spent running around trying to cross things off my to do list. On days like these, I dress more casual than usual and typically go for an outfit very similar to this one. I saw this french colors sweatshirt in J.Crew last week (I was really looking for a dress, whoops) and took it straight to the register without even trying it on. I am wearing a XS, because I like the cropped fit, but I recommend going about two sizes up if you like the oversized look for sweatshirts. I love the simplicity of the sweatshirt while still being a fun conversation starter. These leggings from Lululemon are my absolute favorite, because they are high waisted and have pockets on the sides (total game changer). I am wearing a size 4 in the leggings. If you have never shopped at Lululemon before, I recommend checking their size guide because their clothes run small. While I love my heels, I also love my white Nikes. I have a weird affinity for white tennis shoes and my sweet coworkers picked these out for me. My outfit wouldn’t be complete without my everyday vintage Louis Vuitton, Karen Walker sunnies and a grande Starbucks coffee. I usually stick to a classic grande pike place with non-fat milk, but if I am feeling adventurous I will get a skinny chi tea latte (hot or cold), or and iced unsweet green tea with two scoops of matcha. Below I have linked my favorite leggings, sweatshirts, Nikes, and sunnies to help you conquer your to-do list! xoxo
Surprise, I found yet another black dress that I could not pass up! I saw thisASTR dressat Nordstrom, and knew the long sleeves would be perfect for fall and winter weather. The bell sleeves give a fun nod to the 70s, but are not so large that they become unflattering. The length of the dress is perfect to pair with any pair of heels, flats, over the knee boots, or even with tights. For a warmer option, I would style this dress with these black over the knee boots I found at ASOS. I am wearing a small and it fits true to size. The lace up front gives the dress personality without being too low cut or loose enough to gape open. I added athick velvet choker from Vanessa Mooneyto complete the lace up neckline. ThisASTR bell sleeve dress also comes in a gorgeous olive color as well. Shop my entire look and some similar dresses below! xoxo
