White Ruffle Dress

Dress: ASOS // Shoes: Schutz // Clutch: J.Crew // Jewelry: Kendra Scott (similar)

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today is really just an excuse for me to add a pop of color to my wardrobe, sit on a patio, and eat tex-mex until I burst. Which is exactly what I am doing, you will find me in this white ruffle dress enjoying the patio weather and cheating on my wedding diet. I wore this white ruffle dress to dinner a few weeks ago over my bachelorette weekend. The elastic waist makes the ruffle flattering, and I plan to take this dress on my honeymoon because it is perfect for the beach. It fits true to size (wearing a small) and pairs well with flats or wedges. I chose to wear these raffia wedges and a matching clutch from J.Crew (similar). To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I added a pop of turquoise with these Kendra Scott earrings and bracelet (similar). Shop this festive look and similar white ruffle dresses below! xoxo

Black Slip Dress

Dress: ASOS // Jacket: Nordstrom // Shoes: Banana Republic // Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff

I bought yet another black dress (whoops). I have honestly stopped counting, but it was hard to resist the simplicity of this black slip dress. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw my story where I posted a poll to help me decide between this pink dress and the outfit above for our Valentine’s Day dinner. The black slip dress won, and Alex died laughing when I showed up to our Valentine’s dinner head to toe in black. This dress has a straight cut, and because of that I decided to go a size up. The size 0 fit great in the top, but was a little snug though the hips, so I ended up ordering a 2. I used the adjustable straps to make the top fit better. I knew this black slip dress would easily become a staple in my closet and can be dressed up or down with simple accessories. For dinner I decided to pair it with a few other staples in my closet, including this faux leather jacket, black strappy heels, and my favorite black clutch. Shop this look and a few similar dresses below! xoxo

Oversized Black Sweater

Sweater: Free People // Leggings: Hue // Boots: ASOS // Earrings: J.Crew // Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff

What is better than on oversized black sweater? Okay, I know I probably love black a little too much and the oversized sweater and legging look is really just for comfort, but I seriously love this sweater. I picked up this oversized black sweater on a whim for a football game, which ended up being super cold. I put this sweater to the real test in 40-degree weather, and it was surprisingly very warm. I recommend going a size down in this sweater though. The oversized description is no joke, I am wearing an extra small, and it still fits very large on me. Even after a few washes I have not experienced any pilling or shedding, and the material is still as soft as it was when I purchased the sweater. I paired this oversized black sweater with my favorite leather leggings and black over the knee boots. This sweater also pairs well with skinny jeans or half tucked into a skirt. To complete my look I added my favorite Rebecca Minkoff clutch, and these adorable bow hoops from J.Crew. Shop my all black look below! xoxo

Halloween Party Animals

Halloween Party Animals - A Pearl Kind of GirlHalloween Party Animals - A Pearl Kind of GirlHalloween Party Animals - A Pearl Kind of GirlHalloween Party Animals - A Pearl Kind of GirlHalloween Party Animals - A Pearl Kind of Girl

Dress: Trouve // Jacket: Blank NYC // Necklace: BaubleBar // Bunny Ears: ASOS // Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff

Suit: Brooks Brothers // Dress Shirt: Brooks Brothers // Shoes: Cole Haan // Fox Mask: EZ Costumes  // Champagne: Veuve Clicquot

Happy Halloween! This year, Alex and I decided to dress as party animals. Ironically, we ended up blowing off all our Halloween parties to sit on the couch in sweats and watch season two of Stranger Things (whoops). Even though we did not make very good party animals this Halloween, our costume was so easy to put together. Most of our costume was already in our closets with the exception of the mask and bunny ears. I wore one of my favorite black dresses by Trouve with a classic black leather jacket over my shoulders. To transform myself into a party animal, I added these bunny ears from ASOS, and a personalized acrylic necklace from BaubleBar. Alex wore a suit and dress shirt from Brooks Brothers, paired with Cole Haan oxfords. To complete his party animal look, he just added a fox mask and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Maybe next year we will be a little more true to our outfits, but y’all Stranger Things season two was just too dang good! Shop our entire party animal look below! xoxo

Gingham Cold Shoulder Top

Top: Nordstrom // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: ASOS (similar) // Necklace: Moon & Lola // Sunnies: Karen Walker

It is time for barbecues, crawfish boils, and soaking up the sun with family and friends. I cannot think of anything that pairs better with these things than gingham. With Memorial Day and the Fourth of July right around the corner, it is time to stock up on outfits suitable for the outdoors. This gingham cold shoulder top is 100% cotton and perfect for those 80 degree days. The best part about this top is that it is less than $40! It fits true to size (wearing a small) but runs a little short in length, so you might want to try a size up. I paired the top with my favorite skinny jeans, but it also looks great with distressed denim, white jeans, or a high waisted white skirt. I matched the gingham cold shoulder top with my favorite large monogram necklace from Moon and Lola. I have linked a few versions of this necklace below because they make such great gifts. Shop all your gingham and monogram needs below! xoxo

Christmas Sweater

Vest: Vintage Michael Simon (from Monna’s closet) // Sweater: Vince // Leggings: Nordstrom // Boots: ASOS

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, and the holiday season is my favorite time of the year. I love the cheerful decorations, the spirit of giving, and the excuse to wear Christmas sweaters and excessive plaid all month long! My favorite holiday sweater is a nutcracker vest I borrowed from my grandmother (Monna). She has had this Michael Simon knit vest from Neiman Marcus for years and I have always admired the detail of the stitching on each nutcracker. I layered the vest with a black v-neck Vince sweater and my favorite faux leather leggings from Hue. To add some texture and warmth to my all black look, I wore my suede over the knee boots from ASOS. Since this vest is no long available for purchase, I have linked some of my Christmas sweaters below. Enjoy the holiday season! xoxo
