Little White Dress

edited-5edited-4edited-6edited-8edited-2

Dress: L’Agence Sleeveless Sheath // Shoes: Zara (similar) // Necklace: Tiffany and Co. // Earrings: Tory Burch

Yesterday I took the last test of my 16 years of education, which means graduation must be close! Graduation brings a new and exciting chapter to my life, but it also comes with a scary amount of responsibility. My mom has probably asked me a million times what I plan to wear on this big day, trying to sway me away from yet another black dress. Anyone can tell you that the large majority of my closet is my black dress collection, followed by skirts and tops that can only be described as 50 shades of grey. I finally decided that I should branch out of my black dress and black heel rut to start this new chapter of my life.

Since color is not really my thing, I switched gears from black to white (mainly because my school colors are crimson and cream). I always start my dress hunt at Neiman Marcus and almost always find just what I need right away. I went directly to the Cusp section at Northpark (it is enormous) and tried on every single white dress I could find in my size. Once again the Cusp section of Neiman Marcus pulled through for me. I fell in love with this L’Agance sleeveless sheath the moment I realized it had pockets and knew it would be easy to pair with my favorite Zara heels and of course, my pearls. Not only will this dress be perfect for graduation, but it will also be great for my transition to the working world. xoxo

Mother’s Day x Minted

editededited-2edited-3edited-4

Mother’s day is just around the corner and I always have the hardest time finding gifts for my parents. Occasionally I will think of something my mom needs, then she will go buy it herself in a split second. However I can always count on my mom needing stationery. She writes more hand written notes than anyone I know and she loves personalized stationery. I found a wide range of stationery options at Minted and they were so easy to personalize. I chose the Crisp Color Stationery with the scalloped edge and was able to choose my own fonts and color (red, my mom’s favorite).

While browsing the endless stationery options on Minted, I kept running across their custom print collection. They offer framed prints created by numerous independent contributing artists ranging in medium and subject. While I loved all the artwork created by each contributor, my mom loves pictures, especially of our family. My brother and I recently took a picture with our mom at Easter, and I knew she would love a print for her office. Minted has a collection of foil printed designs to accompany the image or images of your choice. I chose the Gold Foil XO Print with a black frame out of their numerous framing options.

If you are looking for the perfect personalized gift for mom or someone special this spring, be sure to check out everything Minted.com has to offer. They also have great gifts for the upcoming graduation and wedding season. I have teamed up with Minted to give all my readers 10% off your next purchase using code: PEARL10 before May 7th. xoxo

Palm Beach- Antique Garden Style

edited-2edited-3edited-5edited-6Dress: Watercolor Maxi Dress // Shoes: Jack Rogers // Earrings: Tory Burch // Bracelet: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: Oscar de la Renta

When I started packing for my trip to Palm Beach, it was hardly 40 degrees in Norman and I could not even image the 80 degree weather I was headed for. My closet at the time was full of sweaters, jeans and boots, nothing that would be appropriate for a week at the beach. Luckily I knew Antique Garden had new arrivals for spring and I found everything I needed for my trip in one place! This watercolor maxi dress was perfect for a day of exploring, including my favorite stop, the Flagler museum.

Top: Athens Crop Top // Shorts: Urban Outfitters // Sunglasses: Oscar de la Renta // Necklace: Kendra Scott

The Athens Crop Top (only $29) from Antique Garden was perfect for Cardinals spring training and an afternoon of exploring the marinas. It looked great paired with denim shorts during the day and jeans later in the evening for dinner.

edited-6edited-8Top: Beverly Beach Top // Shorts: Wrap Shorts // Shoes: Vince (similar, similar)// Bag: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: Oscar de la Renta // Earrings: Anthropologie // Bracelet: Kate Spade

The Beverly Beach Top (only $30) and Wrap Shorts (only $28) from Antique Garden were perfect for a day of shopping and exploring Worth Avenue. The shorts look like a skirt from the front, but are so much more comfortable than a skirt. They reminded me of the skorts I use to wear with ease in elementary school. The Beverly Beach Top paired with the shorts perfectly because it is a little shorter. I love the color of this top, probably because it matched the clear blue ocean so well.

Antique Garden has a wide selection of affordable dresses, tops and shorts to help you transition your closet into spring. If you are not in the Norman area, you can still shop their selection online at www.shopagstyle.com. Keep up to date with their new arrivals on Instagram @shopagstyle. xoxo

Monday Moment: Palm Beach

edited-7edited-6edited-13edited-2

Swimsuit: J.Crew // Hat: Nordstrom // Scarf: Brokendown (similar)

Last week traded in my snow boots for a swimsuit and took a trip to Palm Beach, Florida. I took full advantage of the sun and I am now much darker than all my pictures (yay!). I enjoyed exploring all of Palm Beach, especially Worth Avenue, but I could not wait to share this adorable one piece from J.Crew. I love this swimsuit because the cutouts transform the boring shape of the one piece. J.Crew has a great selection of one piece swimsuits that they have transformed with different cutouts and patterns. I will be posting the rest of my sunny outfits from my trip later this week thanks to Antique Garden! xoxo

Night Out at Pouf

editededited-2edited-7

Top: Rebecca Minkoff (in yellow) // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Anthropologie (similar) // Earrings: Anthropologie // Bracelet: Kate Spade

Last night Pouf Blowout Studio and MiniLux hosted an event for local Dallas bloggers. Pouf (located in Mockingbird Station) provides blowout services, makeup artists, and even eyebrow threading. The ladies at Pouf created my boho headband braid and I am ready to hire them to do my hair everyday! I also loved my manicure from MiniLux, a new nail salon in West Village that uses nontoxic products and prides themselves on a clean salon. Pictured above with Lauren of Dressing Dallas, who also received a boho braid from Pouf.

edited-4edited-9Makeup done by Brandon at Pouf. Eyebrow threading done by Sunita at Pouf. I was skeptical of eyebrow threading but Sunita did such a wonderful job shaping my eyebrows!
