Confession, this pearl studded sweater came with rhinestones on it too… and I took them all off with a seam ripper. I have never been wild about rhinestones (I feel they don’t suit my personality well), but I loved the pearls on this sweater. This pearl studded sweater is made of a wool blend, so it is perfect for winter weather and can be machine washed. It fits oversized (wearing a small), and the length is cropped. The sleeves were a little long on me, so I cuffed them up some. I paired it with my favorite skinny jeans by Hudson and classic black booties from Michael Kors. These booties also come in brown and the heel height is very comfortable. I love how easily they can be dressed up or down, plus the gold zipper is the perfect amount of detail. Valentine’s Day is only a week away! While my date night with Alex will consist of cooking and watching movies in leggings and a sweatshirt (a much needed night in), I am sharing my two favorite Valentine’s outfits for any date. My first Valentine’s outfit is more casual and is perfect for dinner, a movie or to wear to the office. I found this knit sweater last year at H&M, and it is back in stock for under $20. It goes perfectly with dark denim for winter and white/light denim for chilly spring days. I added my favorite red heels (similar) and a classic red lip to make this light pink sweater a little more festive. After years of struggling with red lipstick (especially in dance competitions) I have finally mastered a non-messy red lip that will last all day. I start by lining my lips with Chanel Lip Definer #57, the color is very versatile and I love the thin brush at the end of the pencil. After lining my lips I fill in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Sarafine and use the brush on the end of the Chanel lip pencil to evenly spread the color, I like this color because it has blue undertones and will make your teeth look whiter. This liquid lipstick is great because it dries matte and will last for hours, even through meals. However, I recommend removing and reapplying the lipstick (with chapstick) after about 4-5 hours, because it will start to dry out your lips.
My second Valentine’s outfit is little dressier, for a nice dinner or night out. This light pink flounce dress is only $60 and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your accessories. This fabric of the dress has a great weight and it has pockets (major win), I only wish it came in more colors, specifically black. The dress fits very loose, so I am wearing an XS because it fit best in the arms. I kept this look simple by just adding red heels and a stack of gold bracelets, but it can also be dressed up with a statement necklace, structured jacket, or strappy heels. If you have a more casual evening planned, but still want to wear a dress, you can dress this look down with a denim jacket, wedges or mules, and minimal jewelry. Both of these looks are also great for a Galentine’s party or a festive Valentines look for the office. I have linked everything you need to recreate these Valentine’s outfits below! xoxo
