Easter was last weekend, which means I’m back in white (jeans)! I was raised with very strict instructions to only wear white after Easter and before Labor Day, so I am still getting use to the idea of winter white and have not figured out how to pull it off yet. White jeans pair so well with light neutral colors like these tan Kate Spade heels and my favorite tee in sand from Urban Outfitters. I found these skinny white jeans at Gap and love the cropped leg and high waisted fit. I am wearing a size 25 and it fits well through the leg with enough stretch to move around. Cloth & Stone is one of my favorite brands sold at Anthropologie, they have the softest material and very flattering cuts. This dress was an obvious buy for me as soon as I tried it on, because it is so comfortable and casual. I chose to buy the sky blue color (also comes in light pink, sand and white) because the other colors were slightly see through and looked more of a beach vibe. I am wearing a size extra small, which fits well through the hips and is long enough to be work appropriate with heels. My only complaint about this dress is that the material, while it feels great, easily wrinkles.

I wore this dress to a Dallas Meetup event last Wednesday evening at Lion + Witch where Ashley from The Teacher Diva spoke about her journey though blogging and the importance of analytics. Lion + Witch (located in Highland Park) is owned by the same lady who owns Milk + Honey on Greenville, but Lion + Witch has a completely different feel and style. I am typically a skinny or straight leg jean kind of girl, but I have been obsessed with these bell bottom jeans I found at Anthropologie this past fall. I am wearing a size zero which fits perfectly through the waist and hips, but is still long enough to wear with heels (if you have shorter legs I would not recommend these jeans because they run long). I paired my bell bottom jeans with one of my favorite tees from Urban Outfitters (bought it in four different colors, including black of course) and these adorable tan Kate Spade heels that are still on sale. BaubleBar has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop for simple jewelry and is where I found this necklace and these geometric earrings. I swear it was summer just yesterday, but it looks like October has come and gone, and fall weather has finally arrived in Dallas! I posted this plaid poncho last year styled with riding boots and love the poncho so much, that I decided to dress it up a little this year. Since the poncho has black trim and accents, but is primarily camel, I decided wear it with an all black look. Check out some of my other favorite plaid ponchos and blanket scarves below! xoxo

Black and white have always been my two favorite colors, so naturally I have been on the hunt for a pair of casual black jeans. I have probably tried on a million pairs and styles of black jeans, some with zippers or unique stitching, some cropped, some long, some skinny, some flared, but I ended up loving this pair from Gap. I love the high waisted fit and skinny legs, especially in the flattering black wash. The distressed knees gives these black jeans a subtle casual look, but can still be easily dressed up with the right top and shoes. I dressed these casual black jeans up with a basic white blouse, tucked in the front to show off the high waist and skinny fit, and my favorite pair of black and white pumps. These jeans fit true to size in the waist, but the inseam runs longer, so alterations might need to be made for length. They are also made with a thicker denim that does not allow as much stretch as some thinner denim material. Check gap.com to see their latest denim promotion!  xoxo
