Burgundy Skirt

Burgundy Skirt - A Pearl Kind of Girl Burgundy Skirt - A Pearl Kind of Girl Burgundy Skirt - A Pearl Kind of Girl Burgundy Skirt - A Pearl Kind of Girl Burgundy Skirt - A Pearl Kind of Girl

Skirt: Target // Top: Vince (similar) // Heels: Marc Fisher

Is anyone else sad that the holidays are over? I hate the feeling of taking down Christmas decorations and putting them away until next year. Luckily, Alex knows how to cheer me up and took me to see the few holiday lights still up in downtown Dallas.

A few weeks ago my friend Monica posted this burgundy skirt on Instagram Stories, and 30 minutes later it was being shipped to my house. I knew this skirt would be so easy to style for work and upcoming parties. I loved the way Monica paired it with a classic white blouse and later with a floral embroidered top. This old Vince top was sitting in my closet, and I ended up really liking the monochromatic look. Now, I just need matching shoes. This skirt fits a little large, I am wearing an extra small and it is still slightly loose in the waist. I suggest ordering a size down, or wearing a belt like Monica did. I love the length and material of this burgundy skirt so much that the black and navy versions are already waiting in my shopping cart. Shop this look, and some similar burgundy skirts below! xoxo

Bridesmaid Proposal

Bridesmaid Proposal - A Pearl Kind of GirlBridesmaid Proposal - A Pearl Kind of Girl

About five minutes after I got engaged, I wanted to call all my girlfriends and immediately ask them to be in my wedding. I also knew I wanted to ask my bridesmaids in a more personal way, so I resisted asking until I could put something together. I wanted to include a personal note to each of my bridesmaids, and these Rifle Paper Co. cards were perfect. They even make cards for matrons and maids of honor. I also wanted to include a picture from a fond memory, so I added these adorable white and gold frames from Target to my bridesmaid proposal box. Then to add something fun, I also included these yummy Sugarfina champagne gummy bears. Shop everything I included in my bridesmaid proposal box as well as my favorite bridesmaid gifts below! xoxo

The Gift of Fragrance

Fragrance: Ralph Lauren Red // Giftwrap: Sugar Paper LA

This year I wanted to give my boyfriend new cologne for Christmas, but purchasing a fragrance for someone else can be very difficult. I started my search with Ralph Lauren, because I have found Ralph Lauren Romance to be my favorite fragrance. After sampling both Ralph Lauren Polo Blue and Ralph Lauren Polo Red, I decided that Ralph Lauren Polo Red was the perfect fragrance to give him. The Polo Red fragrance is a blend of red saffron, grapefruit and deep nodes of redwood, it is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I just purchased a large bottle of cologne to make sure he liked the scent first, but Ralph Lauren has some great gift sets that I will be purchasing in the future. I ended up going back to purchase the Polo Blue fragrance for my brother, because I thought it suited him better than the Polo Red fragrance. The Polo Blue fragrance is a the perfect blend of bergamot and vetiver, which has a more fresh scent.

My favorite gift wrap collection the past two years has been the Sugar Paper LA collection at Target. I had a few things left over from last years collection, like the black and white ribbon, but the craft and gold foil wrapping paper was my favorite item from this years collection. The craft paper is thicker than most wrapping paper, which makes it easier to work with and will withstand sharp corners. Shop more of my favorite gift wrap and Ralph Lauren fragrances below. Merry Christmas and happy giving! xoxo
