Burnt Orange Top

edit-0397edit-0372edit-0423edit-0322edit-0418edit-0365

Top: Nordstrom // Shorts: Nordstrom // Shoes: Marc Fisher // Sunnies: Karen Walker

When Nordstrom had their Anniversary Sale, this Socialite off the shoulder top was one of the first things I added to my basket. I love the tassels and lace detail on the bell sleeves. This top fits true to size (I am wearing a small) and has adjustable straps, so it will not fall off your shoulders. Since it is still 100 degrees in Dallas, I wore my favorite denim shorts from Levi’s. I am wearing a size 25 in the shorts and roll the cuff down once so they are longer in length. This burnt orange top is perfect for football season, (even though I will be cheering for Oklahoma!) and looks great with wide leg jeans for fall. The Marc Fisher flatforms are available in multiple colors, and the burnt orange top is also available in white. Shop the look below! xoxo

Tie Front Dress

Dress: ASTR // Jacket: Gap // Shoes: Vince (similar) // Earrings: Anthropologie (similar) // Bracelet: J.Crew

Earlier this week I shared my time at Create & Cultivate Downtown Los Angeles, and gave a sneak peak of the dress I wore. When I was packing for LA, I quickly realized that I did not have an outfit that I liked and felt comfortable sitting in most of the day. I saw this ASTR tie front dress online at Nordstom, but they did not have any in the Dallas area. Naturally, I trusted the mail man and had the dress over nighted, all while crossing my fingers that it would fit. I ordered an extra small because I have another skirt from ASTR with a similar cut and an extra small fit best. This dress is great because it has adjustable straps and the tie front can easily be adjusted in order to make the dress fit best for everyone. The top button on the dress fits tighter on the rib cage and slight pleats makes the bottom of the dress easy to move in, but still gives a flattering shape. This tie front dress was easy to sit in and move around all day, and it went well with my denim jacket for cooler AC temperatures. The only complaint I have about this tie front dress, is the material. While I love linen, the dress wrinkles very easily and the second I sat down, I had a wrinkle across my lap. Striped Set

edit-9032edit-9068edit-9133edit-9036

Top: ASTR Off the Shoulder Crop Blouse // Skirt: ASTR Stripe Button Front A-Line Skirt // Bag: Neiman Marcus

I recently booked my first cruise, and even though it is a whole 60 days away, I immediately started shopping for beach clothes (whoops)! I found this striped set at Nordstrom and both the skirt and top are currently 40% off the original price! I ordered the crop top in a small just in case it was tight on the arms, but I would have been fine with an extra small (it does not fit tightly on the arms). Since the skirt is fitted at the waist, I ordered it in an extra small. I love the button detail down the front of the skirt, as well as the very useful pockets. This striped set is perfect for a day at the beach or a causal patio dinner. Shop more of my favorite beach ready sets below! xoxo

Plaid on Black

Poncho: Nordstrom // Sweater: Vince // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Neiman Marcus // Bag: Neiman Marcus // Hat: Urban Outfitters // Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

I swear it was summer just yesterday, but it looks like October has come and gone, and fall weather has finally arrived in Dallas! I posted this plaid poncho last year styled with riding boots and love the poncho so much, that I decided to dress it up a little this year. Since the poncho has black trim and accents, but is primarily camel, I decided wear it with an all black look. Check out some of my other favorite plaid ponchos and blanket scarves below! xoxo
