Emerald Dress

Dress: y&i // Shoes: ASOS // Bangle: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs

If you have not been to y&i in West Village, you are seriously missing out! They have a great selection of dresses, rompers and tops for any occasion. I guess I have a thing for green and white, because when I saw this emerald dress, I knew it would go perfectly with my white slingbacks from ASOS. When I ordered these white slingback from ASOS, I got them to go with my palm print dress and thought that I wouldn’t wear them much otherwise. I was so wrong, I am now obsessed with these slingbacks and wear them all the time!

From all the dresses in y&i this emerald dress stood out to me because of the unique cut. The tight top of this dress has a fun cutout that does not make the dress difficult to wear, and the A-line bottom gives structure to the dress. Not only is the emerald color great for spring and summer, but can easily be transitioned into a fall staple with a beautiful white or beige coat (like this one). Shop this emerald dress and the rest of the beautiful dresses at y&i online or in West Village.  xoxo

Distressed Denim

Top: Anthropologie // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Vince // Sunnies: Marc by Marc Jacobs // Earrings: Anthropologie // Necklace: Kendra Scott

Would you believe that this is the first pair of distressed denim jeans I have ever own? My parents have always made fun of the idea of buying jeans that are already torn up. When I saw these jeans at Gap I was a little hesitant to try them out but they were so affordable, I just had to give them a try. These jeans fit wonderfully and the holes near the knees actually make it easier to move in skinny cut jeans. The distressed denim look is obviously more casual and not appropriate for all situations, but is also surprisingly easy to dress up. For a day look I paired my distressed denim with a chambray top from cloth and stone, and thick heeled sandals from Vince. I have also transitioned the distressed denim into more of an evening look with a silk tank, platform heels, and a blazer when it gets cooler. Check out all the distressed denim jeans at gap.com! xoxo
