Colorful Skirt for Fall

A few months ago I shared this white lace skirt that I found on sale at J.Crew, and how I was able to easily pair it with my favorite Equipment blouse for summer. Since summer is over, and Labor day has passed, it is time to put away the white lace and find something better suited for fall. The sale section at J.Crew is one of my favorite places to shop, especially when they are running an additional discount. I came across this colorful skirt in the sale section at J.Crew, and knew it would be a great transition piece into fall. Normally I would not go for something this colorful, but since the skirts pattern is on top of a black background, I decided it was still suitable for fall and possibly winter. I also love the way the skirt fits perfectly at the waist, and has a zipper up the back (I am wearing a size 0). I also love the pockets that are hidden between the pleats, and the slight flare of the skirt. Since this skirt has almost an identical fit to the previous white lace skirt, I was able to pair it with the same Equipment blouse, pearls, and similar pumps. When the weather finally feels like fall in Dallas (or just gets below 80 degrees) this skirt would also pair well with a long sleeve silk blouse or a tight fitting turtle neck. Since the length of the skirt hits at about the knees, I recommend wearing pumps instead of flats to give length back to the legs. Shop the entire look below, and be sure to check out all of J.Crew’s sale items! xoxo

White Lace Skirt

This past week, I celebrated my 23rd birthday, and my grandmother hosted one of her famous birthday lunches. I decided to bring out my pearls for the occasion, as well as this adorable white lace skirt I found on sale at J.Crew. I paired it with a classic black Equipment blouse (one of the most useful things in my closet) and my black and white Prada pumps. The white lace skirt fits true to size (wearing 00) and is fitted at the waist, but flares so that it is easy to move in. Shop this white lace skirt and my favorite pearls below! xoxo

Olive Pants

The constant 100 degree temperatures in Dallas have made it almost impossible to wear jeans or even most pants. This makes dressing for work a little more difficult than usual, so I went on the hunt for pants that were cool enough for the heat. I found these olive pants at J.Crew on sale and they are super light weight and the cropped length is great for the heat. I am wearing a size zero and it fits perfectly in the waist and is loose through the legs. My favorite Urban Outfitters tee goes great theses pants and Kendra Scott cuffs from their fall collection. Floral and Lace

Tank: J.Crew // Skirt: Liv Los Angeles (similar) // Clutch: J.Crew // Shoes: Zara (similar) // Sunglasses: Karen Walker

About a month ago I went on a full shopping spree at Northpark for both my trip to LA and my cruise. I cannot make a trip to Northpark without stopping in J.Crew, especially when they have 30% off new arrivals. I found this silk tank, which I already own in multiple colors, and this woven clutch that was perfect for happy hour in LA. I had this lace skirt that I purchased at Neiman Marcus last spring, and loved the way the floral and lace paired together. This look went great with a denim jacket when temperatures cooled off in the evening, and was easily dressed up with simple nude heels. This woven clutch has become one of my favorites, because the neutral color goes well with everything and it easily fits my phone, credit cards, backup phone charger and lipstick. Tie Front Dress

Dress: ASTR // Jacket: Gap // Shoes: Vince (similar) // Earrings: Anthropologie (similar) // Bracelet: J.Crew

Earlier this week I shared my time at Create & Cultivate Downtown Los Angeles, and gave a sneak peak of the dress I wore. When I was packing for LA, I quickly realized that I did not have an outfit that I liked and felt comfortable sitting in most of the day. I saw this ASTR tie front dress online at Nordstom, but they did not have any in the Dallas area. Naturally, I trusted the mail man and had the dress over nighted, all while crossing my fingers that it would fit. I ordered an extra small because I have another skirt from ASTR with a similar cut and an extra small fit best. This dress is great because it has adjustable straps and the tie front can easily be adjusted in order to make the dress fit best for everyone. The top button on the dress fits tighter on the rib cage and slight pleats makes the bottom of the dress easy to move in, but still gives a flattering shape. This tie front dress was easy to sit in and move around all day, and it went well with my denim jacket for cooler AC temperatures. The only complaint I have about this tie front dress, is the material. While I love linen, the dress wrinkles very easily and the second I sat down, I had a wrinkle across my lap. Shop more tie front dresses below! xoxo
