Last week I took a day trip to the Dallas Farmer’s Market with Smoothie King. Follow along on Smoothie King’s instagram today and learn more about how I shop at the Dallas Farmer’s Market for fresh produce! Also, check out this super cute black dress, it is perfect for fall and also comes in olive! xoxo
Fringe has been showing up everywhere for fall and I am loving it. My fringe obsession really started after purchasing a white fringe jacket at Neiman Marcus and these booties at Nordstrom. Last week I visited y&i and the first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was a pair of suede fringe shorts. I normally would not go for the edgy shorts, but I knew they would go so well with my new booties from Nordstrom. I paired the shorts with an oversized white tank, black lace bralette, and gold jewelry. This look is perfect for the awkward transition weather from summer to fall and the suede shorts were extremely comfortable and easy to move in. Shop y&i online or in West Village (Dallas) for these shorts in more colors as well as other fringe looks! xoxo
If you have not been to y&i in West Village, you are seriously missing out! They have a great selection of dresses, rompers and tops for any occasion. I guess I have a thing for green and white, because when I saw this emerald dress, I knew it would go perfectly with my white slingbacks from ASOS. When I ordered these white slingback from ASOS, I got them to go with my palm print dress and thought that I wouldn’t wear them much otherwise. I was so wrong, I am now obsessed with these slingbacks and wear them all the time!
From all the dresses in y&i this emerald dress stood out to me because of the unique cut. The tight top of this dress has a fun cutout that does not make the dress difficult to wear, and the A-line bottom gives structure to the dress. Not only is the emerald color great for spring and summer, but can easily be transitioned into a fall staple with a beautiful white or beige coat (like this one). Shop this emerald dress and the rest of the beautiful dresses at y&i online or in West Village. xoxo
This weekend was the Dallas Blogger Collective’s first birthday and we spent the day celebrating at Rio Ritz Boutique. I finally learned how to make those adorable floral crowns with Kelley of The Style Barn and enjoyed shopping the new arrivals at Rio Ritz. Kelley has the best 1970s style, and she finally convinced me to give bell bottom jeans a try for the first time since middle school. I found these Pilcro Superscript Flare Jeans on sale at Anthropologie and they were the perfect fit. Paired with wedges and a silk front tie blouse, these jeans are a flattering flashback to the 70s. xoxo
In April, I posted about the perfect Mother’s Day gift I found at Minted. When I moved back to Dallas and needed to fill my bare walls, the first place I looked was Minted. Minted hosted a challenge called “Through the Lens” and with over 5,000 submissions, they were able to select 459 new photography pieces. All of the new photography pieces represent 248 artists in the independent artist marketplace. While I did attend the University of Oklahoma (Boomer!), my Texas roots are deep and I fell in love with this longhorn print called “Satredown” by Amy Carroll. The 24″ by 18″ print is perfectly framed in black and is a great start to my decorating process. Check out all the photographs selected from the “Through the Lens” challenge at Minted.com. xoxo
