Spring Eyes with Clinique

edit-7630edit-7639edit-7644edit-7665edit-7672edit-7732edit-7761

Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara // Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen // Clinique Lid Pop Eyeshadow

Here in Dallas it seems like winter never happened, spring has arrived and caught me off guard. I finally traded my dark nail polish for a lighter shade, but needed to refresh the rest of my daily makeup. When searching for products to lighten my daily eye look, I found a variety of shadows perfect for spring at Clinique. I typically like to use a simple eyeshadow pallet, thin eyeliner and of course a full mascara. I found everything I needed to create my spring eye look at Clinique, including an easy to use eyeliner and mascara.

To create my spring eye look, I started with a primer on my lids (I used Chanel CC Cream number 30), then covered my entire eyelid with Clinique Lid Pop 02 Cream Pop. I lined my lashes with Clinique Lid Pop 05 Willow Pop and blended toward the crease of my lid. Using Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen 01 Black, I tight-lined my lashes before applying Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara 01 Jumbo Jet for full, dark and long lashes. I was able to achieve the liquid eyeliner look without the mess and hassle thanks to the eyelining pen. While my spring look was more neutral, Clinique has some bolder eye colors to match any spring wardrobe including 08 Petal, 10 Grape, and 11 Surf. Shop the entire Clinique Lip Pop Eyeshadow collection, as well as their eyeliner and mascara at clinique.com. xoxo

Bell Bottom Jeans

edit-7060edit-7102edit-7117edit-7146edit-7149

Top: Urban Outfitters // Jeans: Anthropologie // Shoes: Kate Spade // Earrings: BaubleBar // Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

I am typically a skinny or straight leg jean kind of girl, but I have been obsessed with these bell bottom jeans I found at Anthropologie this past fall. I am wearing a size zero which fits perfectly through the waist and hips, but is still long enough to wear with heels (if you have shorter legs I would not recommend these jeans because they run long). I paired my bell bottom jeans with one of my favorite tees from Urban Outfitters (bought it in four different colors, including black of course) and these adorable tan Kate Spade heels that are still on sale. BaubleBar has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop for simple jewelry and is where I found this necklace and these geometric earrings. These earrings are great because they make a statement but are lightweight and do not pull on my ears. Shop more of my favorite bell bottom jeans below! xoxo

Lovely Lashes

edit-3717

Happy National Lashes Day! Celebrate your lovely lashes and shop my favorite mascara for all occasions. xoxo

Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara: adds volume, length and curl. Cone shaped brush separates lashes while adding volume. This mascara is perfect for the final touch on a smoky eye look.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Mascara: curls, volumizes, lifts and separates lashes. Staggered bristles grab close to the root to add extra length. This is my daily go-to mascara for long and natural looking lashes.

Le Volume De Chanel Mascara: adds rich color and extreme length. The mixture of long and short bristles create extra length and an eye opening effect. This mascara is great to active the look of false lashes, especially when used with Chanel Beautè Des Cils Nourishing Mascara Base.

Metallic Stripe Tee

Shirt: J.Crew // Jeans: J.Crew // Shoes: Kate Spade

While I love dressing up, I am also a major t-shirt and jeans girl and luckily I work in a creative environment that allows me to dress casual. This metallic stripe tee is currently on sale at J.Crew and is a great neutral top. I am wearing a size small, which fits a little loose and is long enough to tuck (or half tuck) in my jeans. I also found these great jeans at J.Crew, I bought the Toothpick cut in size 24 with a 30″ inseam. Since I have longer legs, the 30″ inseam allows me to cuff the end of the jeans a little and still hit right at my ankles. These Kate Spade shoes are also still on sale and available in tan but are running low in sizes, they already sold out in black. Shop more of my favorite metallic and stripe tees below. xoxo

This past weekend I partnered with Mel of My Everyday Lifestyle to host our first “Brunch So Hard” at HG Sply Co. on lower Greenville. The theme of our first brunch was “Mimosas to DIY for” and Mel taught our guests how to make these adorable and simple paper fortune cookies for Valentine’s Day. We enjoyed a relaxing and organic brunch while laughing at the clever valentine messages our guests created for their paper fortune cookies. Sign up below to be included in our next “Brunch So Hard”. xoxo

Black Jumpsuit

edit-4448edit-4459edit-4470edit-4454

Jumpsuit: Cloth & Stone // Shoes: Kate Spade

It might be February, but spring is already here in Dallas. This weekend temperatures were in the 60s and 70s, which made for a perfect day to explore downtown. I spent most of my time at the Dallas Museum of Art, because they currently have a Jackson Pollock exhibit (through March 20th), before making my way across the street to Klyde Warren Park. Jackson Pollock is one of my favorite American artists, and while I have seen many of his pieces at the Crystal Bridges Museum, I enjoyed seeing more of his earlier work at the DMA. The sunny skies allowed me to finally wear this black jumpsuit without a coat, and I even pulled out my new open toed shoes. This Cloth & Stone black jumpsuit is so comfortable, the fabric is soft and breaths well in the heat. I am wearing an extra small, which gives a cropped length to the legs but fits well at my waist. The jumpsuit comes in both black and olive green (super cute as well) and is on sale right now at Anthropologie! The nude sandals from Kate Spade are also on sale right now and come in black as well. I know how hard it is to fit jumpsuits, so I picked my favorites for you to shop below! xoxo
