Graduation has passed, the boxes are packed, and I am moving back to Dallas! If I am being honest, I am not ready to leave college, all my friends, the carefree lifestyle of Norman, and the ability to wear athletic clothes and over sized T-shirts without judgment. Last week I had a girl tell me that I must workout a lot, because every time she sees me I am wearing athletic clothes. Well, while I “try” to workout everyday, we all know it is just easier to throw on Lululemon and a pair of Nikes to go to class or the library. Unfortunately leaving college and entering the “real world” means getting dressed for work, not the gym every morning.
When I realized I needed more than jeans and leggings in my closet I went on the hunt for some corporate attire. My first stop was J.Crew, and they had everything I needed plus a 15% discount for students. I found these dress pants and basic tanks in every color imaginable. I wanted a blazer that stood out with my basic pants and top. I found this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent blazer at Neiman Marcus and fell in love with the unique cut, pattern and embroidery. This black, creme and gold blazer also pairs well with a form fitting dress, pencil skirt, or can even be dressed down with dark skinny jeans.
If you are starting the hunt for professional clothes for interviews, internships, or a full time job, I would recommend starting the search at J.Crew. Do not forget to show your student ID at checkout for an extra 15% your purchase (sale items included)! xoxo

Last week traded in my snow boots for a swimsuit and took a trip to Palm Beach, Florida. I took full advantage of the sun and I am now much darker than all my pictures (yay!). I enjoyed exploring all of Palm Beach, especially Worth Avenue, but I could not wait to share this adorable one piece from J.Crew. I love this swimsuit because the cutouts transform the boring shape of the one piece. J.Crew has a great selection of one piece swimsuits that they have transformed with different cutouts and patterns. I will be posting the rest of my sunny outfits from my trip later this week thanks to Antique Garden! xoxo

Monica of 45Farimount and I have teamed up in a new series called “Ways to Wear Wednesday”. Our purpose is to share different ways to reinvent the basic pieces already in your closet. This week we have taken the basic white tee and styled it two ways that dress up your most comfortable tee. I styled my J.Crew v-neck with leather leggings and leopard pumps for look that is perfect for dinner or an evening out. Check out how Monica styled her white v-neck at 45fairmount.com! xoxo

There seem to be days where your to do list never ends. The second you cross one thing off the list, you add two more. The past month has felt like this for me. When my life gets busy I find myself repeating the same comfortable outfits everyday and this has been one of them. This J.Crew sweater is wool so it is the right weight for someone running a million errands in the cool weather. I also love these jean leggings from Gap, because they look nice and still allow you to move as much as your favorite yoga pants do. xoxo
